65Golden, ReggieWetumpka HS (AL)CFR/R5'10"2101991-10-10HS
Comments: Every Draft class has players who fit the high-risk, high-reward label. Golden is a raw and toolsy high school outfielder with speed and power. He shows some feel for hitting, but never consistently. More than anything, Golden needs to play and gain experience. More of a student of the game than people might think, once Golden gets to play more and receives full-time instruction, the tools could sharpen. That's what the team that takes him -- and it likely won't take too long for that to happen -- will be banking on.

97Gibbs, MicahLSUCS/R5'11"2151988-07-27JR
Comments: In a Draft class with a lack of catching talent, Gibbs has picked a good time to break out offensively. He's hit for average and shows some extra-base pop from both sides of the plate, though some continue to question whether he can hit enough to be an everyday bat. Defensively, he's just fine behind the plate, and the combination of skills he's shown this spring have made him one of the better all-around catching options in the class. The University of Miami's Yasmani Grandal looks like he'll be the first backstop to go off the board, but Gibbs might not be too far behind.

820Harper, BryanCollege of Southern NevadaLHPL/L6'05"1951989-12-29J2
Comments: The "other" Harper sometimes gets to pitch to his brother, Bryce. And, while he's not quite the prospect younger bro is, he's making a name for himself on the mound. Tall, lanky lefties who can touch 92 mph aren't all that common, and Harper also has a pretty good feel for his breaking ball and changeup. He'll need to cut down on his walk rate a bit, but there's also room for growth in his frame and has some upside as he continues to learn how to pitch. He'll wait a bit after his brother goes in the Draft, but if he continues to show the kind of stuff he has, it won't be too long a wait.

550Pinckard, RonaldBaylorRHPL/R6'01"1901988-08-15JR
Comments: Pinckard features a heavy, sinking fastball, the kind that should break some bats when facing wood. His slider is developing and he works quickly. Sometimes he speeds up too much when he gets into trouble, but he's much improved from last year when he was a one-pitch pitcher. A two-way player who runs well as an outfielder, his future is on the mound. He missed some time earlier this season with a leg stress fracture, but seems healthy now. He could show more improvement once he's focusing on pitching and could be a good setup type down the road.
