An MVP candidate last season, Robinson Cano posted career-highs across the board with 103 runs, 29 home runs, 109 RBI, and a .381 OBP. The durable second baseman actually tailed off a bit in the second half of the season, however, at 28-years old, Cano remains an elite talent in the Majors. Against the Red Sox last season, Cano hit .371 with 13 RBI in 18 games.

This one-time AL MVP hopes to return to his productive ways after missing half the 2010 season due to injury. The 27-year old Red Sox star offers a little bit of everything including power, speed, and a high average. Pedroia also stands to gain from the Red Sox acquisition of Adrian Gonzalez, one of the elite sluggers in baseball.

Phillips is particuarly lethal against southpaws with a .294 career average and .505 SLG compared to just a .256 batting clip and .400 slugging against right-handers.
