On Sunday afternoon, Ubaldo Jimenez can make it a clean sweep against the Astros at Minute Maid Park, as he goes for his second victory of the season.

Rockies: Jimenez pitched well for four innings at PETCO Park on Tuesday night, displaying top-shelf velocity and an effective slider. But in the fifth, he committed a throwing error and relied too heavily on his fastball. The result was a six-run Padres inning in a 6-0 loss for the Rockies. Jimenez has bordered on dominant at points in all his starts, but must learn how to quickly find his rhythm when things get tight.

  • (0-0) 2.25 ERA
Astros: Chacon was brilliant in his last outing at Philadelphia, scattering four hits over eight scoreless innings. Despite lowering his ERA from 3.75 to 2.25, he didn't pick up the win as the Phillies rallied for four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to win, 4-3. Chacon struck out five and walked two and threw 68 of his 109 pitches for strikes. This was Chacon's second straight quality start.

'Pen can't close it out

Colorado was poised for its fifth straight win after Garrett Atkins' game-tying homer and Troy Tulowitzki's go-ahead single. But former Rox infielder Kazuo Matsui bit the hand that once fed him, delivering the game-winner with two outs in the eighth.

Kazuo comes through

In his third game back from the DL, Kazuo Matsui showed the Astros what they were missing with a two-out, two-run single in the eighth to put them in front for good. Jose Valverde finished off the victory to pick up his 100th career save.
