The Marlins host the Dodgers with Andrew Miller on the mound, who is fresh off a win -- his first of the season -- and is looking to improve on his slow start thus far.

Marlins probable pitcher

Andrew Miller

  • LHP
  • (1-2) 7.94 ERA
Marlins: Nothing is coming easy for Miller, but the 22-year-old is taking some small steps in getting better. In his last start -- his first win as a Marlin -- he labored to get through the first inning and allowed an unearned run at Atlanta. Yet, he regrouped, and despite yielding nine hits, he made it through five innings with his team ahead, 3-2. Miller tossed a season-most 98 pitches, with 55 for strikes. Seven times with Detroit last year, Miller reached the 100-pitch plateau, with his career high being 111 on July 23, at the White Sox in 4 2/3 innings.
