Cubs look to continue home success

Ryan Dempster is 7-0 in eight starts at Wrigley Field this season, and will go for win No. 8 on Wednesday against Atlanta.

Cubs probable pitcher

Ryan Dempster

  • RHP
  • (7-2) 2.90 ERA
Cubs: Dempster will be happy to be back at Wrigley Field. The right-hander is 7-0 at home but has yet to win on the road. In his last start, in Los Angeles, Dempster did not get a decision, giving up three runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings. He was cruising along until the fifth, and in the sixth, he fell behind three hitters quickly and was pulled. Dempster said he was angry at himself for not being able to go deeper into the game.
