Brewers: Sheets threw his National League-leading third complete game of the season on Monday against the Braves. He allowed four hits, struck out seven and retired the last 16 batters he faced. Sheets has now won five straight decisions. He has pitched at least six innings in 10 consecutive starts, and in 13 of 15 starts this season. Sheets is 1-1 with a 2.18 ERA in three career starts against the Twins. He last pitched against Minnesota on June 18, 2004, when he allowed one run on four hits in six innings and got the win. In 20 2/3 innings against the Twins, he has allowed five runs.

Twins: Slowey delivered his third straight quality start, pitching six scoreless innings against the Padres at PETCO Park. He scattered just four hits in the outing and did not walk a single batter while striking out a season-high seven batters. Slowey has continued to look more comfortable on the mound after a rough start to the season. He was 0-4 with a 5.49 ERA in his first four starts. Slowey will now face the Brewers for the second time this month. He picked up the victory in that contest after allowing just two runs over eight innings.
