Blanton, fellow ex-Athletic Harden meet

Less than two months ago, Joe Blanton and Rich Harden wore the same green and yellow uniform, and pitched for the A's. On Friday, the former teammates will meet for the first time as opponents, when the Phillies and Cubs play the second game of a four-game series at Wrigley Field.

Unable to hold the lead, the Phillies were denied the go-ahead run in the seventh on a close call at first. It came back to haunt them when Clay Condrey allowed a home run in the seventh, which dropped the Phils 1 1/2 games back in the NL East.
