Lackey, who had pitched brilliantly in his previous two starts, didn't quite have his best stuff on Sunday against the Rangers. The big right-hander lasted just five innings, allowing four runs on nine hits, including two home runs, while striking out five and walking one. It marked his first loss since July 5 against the Blue Jays. Lackey is 3-5 with a 3.91 ERA in 11 career starts against the White Sox.

Floyd gave up one run on seven hits, striking out five and walking two, as he won for the eighth time on the day after a White Sox loss. Brandon Wood's homer in the ninth, one of four on the night for the Angels, gave the Halos the lead, but Francisco Rodriguez blew a rare save, allowing the tying run. The Angels couldn't break through in extras, and Justin Speier surrendered a game-winning homer in the 15th inning.
