Joe Saunders said he's "feeling good" -- mentally as well as physically -- after rebounding from a pair of rough outings. And now he'll be on the mound at U.S. Cellular Field, where despite feeling ill, Saunders stifled the White Sox in May.

Joe Saunders
- #51 LHP
- (14-7) 3.69 ERA 81 SO
Saunders rebounded from two dismal outings with 6 1/3 solid innings in Detroit on Tuesday night, but he was deprived of the win when the Tigers rallied late to draw even. He wasn't dominant in yielding three earned runs on eight hits, but it was a big improvement over his previous two outings, in which he surrendered 12 earned runs in a total of 6 2/3 innings. Saunders got more aggressive and trusted his stuff rather than trying to be too fine. He pitched a gem -- eight innings, three hits, one earned run -- in turning back the White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field earlier this season and is 1-1 in three career outings against Chicago with a 4.58 ERA.

Many victories on both sides would have to transpire for a rematch of the 2005 ALCS to take place, but in talking about the Angels on Saturday, Ozzie Guillen seems to at least like his team's chances.
White Sox probable pitcher
John Danks
- #50 LHP
- (10-8) 3.44 ERA 134 SO
On Wednesday against the Indians, Danks was unable to go at least five innings for just the fifth time this season. The 23-year-old left-hander lasted just four innings, giving up four runs on eight hits. He surrendered a two-run homer to Victor Martinez before allowing a two-run double to Franklin Gutierrez in the fourth inning to cap his 72-pitch effort. In his one start against the Blue Jays this season, Danks went 4 2/3 innings and allowed two runs on seven hits. Lifetime against Toronto, Danks is 0-1 with a 2.79 ERA in two starts.

Angels 3, White Sox 2
The game was deadlocked until the eighth, when Garret Anderson's sac fly drove in the go-ahead run to give Joe Saunders his 15th victory. Francisco Rodriguez moved within two saves of the single-season mark by closing out the game in the ninth.
