In his first full season as part of the White Sox starting rotation, Floyd has become a true big-game pitcher for the South Siders. Floyd has nine wins after White Sox losses in 2008 and picked up an all-important victory over Detroit on Monday in a makeup game to force Tuesday's tiebreaker with the Twins. Floyd has a 10-3 record at home and has held right-handed hitters to a .226 average this season. Floyd not only missed out on facing Tampa Bay during the regular season but never has faced the Rays during his career. This start will be his first in the playoffs.
