Halo and goodbye Boston (3-0) (0-3)

Onward for Angels

Down to their last out, the Angels came up with a comeback for the ages. Vlad Guerrero, stuck in a brutal playoff slump, brought home the tying and winning runs with a single and the Angels swept aside the Red Sox in stunning fashion.

Sox left stunned

Jonathan Papelbon had been spotless in his postseason career. And with two outs in the ninth, the Sox's closer looked to have had the Halos all but silenced. Nope. A three-run final frame crushed Boston and halted its Wild Card playoff run.
