CHC@MIL: Greinke fans 12 over seven shutout frames

The Brewers, reeling just two days ago after being swept by Kansas City, will be looking for a sweep of the Twins when they send Zack Greinke to the hill on Sunday.

Minnesota? Well, they're just reeling.

Trying to stop their current four-game skid will be Nick Blackburn, who might just be the ideal choice to ground a Milwaukee offense that blasted four homers in a 6-2 win on Saturday.

Although he gave up four runs on eight hits in his last outing on Tuesday against the Phillies, Blackburn got grounders on 15 of 21 batted balls.

"I'm going to give up a lot of hits that are ground-ball hits," Blackburn said. "All I can hope for is they hit it at somebody. Obviously not going to happen every time. So that's definitely a positive that I'm still getting the ground balls and showing that I have good movement."

Greinke has been the Brewers' best option all season, posting a 7-2 record and 2.96 ERA.

In his last outing, Greinke returned to Kansas City to face the team that traded him following the 2010 season. He allowed one run on six hits and struck out eight in seven innings in the loss.

Sunday's game will be the second time Greinke has faced Minnesota this season, a rarity for an Interleauge matchup. On May 20, Greinke gave up one run on five hits in 6 2/3 innings, as the Brewers won 16-4.

Brewers: Braun continues Interleague dominance
• With his 3-for-4, two home run outburst on Saturday, Ryan Braun has now his safely in 21 consecutive Interleague games.

Braun is hitting .425 with six homers and 25 RBIs during that stretch, the longest of its kind in Brewers history.

• The Brewers matched a season high with four home runs on Saturday, including their second pair of back-to-back jacks this season.

Twins: Plouffe's power pause
• Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe went 0-for-1 on Saturday, snapping a streak of four consecutive games with a home run.

Plouffe drew a career-high three walks on Saturday, after drawing only two in his previous 22 games combined.

• Justin Morneau missed Friday's game because of a sore left forearm, but returned to the lineup on Saturday, going 0-for-4.

• Joe Mauer was held out of the starting lineup on Saturday because of a sore hamstring, but was called on to pinch-hit in the ninth inning. His grounder to second was the game's final out.

• With his 2-for-4 performance on Saturday, Ben Revere has now recorded multiple hits in 11 of his last 18 games.

Worth Noting
• Braun is 7-for-12 with four doubles in his career against Blackburn.
