This Day in Baseball History
July 3, 1966 > Tony Cloninger of the Atlanta Braves becomes the first National League pitcher to club two grand slams in one game, and his nine total RBIs set a single-game record for a pitcher. Thanks to his performance on the mound and at the plate, the Braves clobber the San Francisco Giants by the score of 17-3.
