Breaking Barriers: In Sports, In Life is a multi-curricular character education program developed by MLB, the MLB Players' Trust for Children, and Scholastic, Inc. Using baseball-themed features, activities, and lessons, the program is designed to teach kids the values and traits needed to deal with barriers and challenges in their lives.
Urban Youth Academy  
Urban Youth Academy
The Major League Baseball Urban Academy is a 10-acre complex on the grounds of Compton Community College. The Academy is the "bricks and mortar" extension of all MLB youth supported programs. The Academy partners with local and national MLB youth supported programs and leagues, to promote youth baseball and softball skills development via tournaments, leagues, camps and clinics.
