Sam Marchiano

Writer/Producer/Director

Sam Marchiano has worked in sports media for the past 20 years as a producer, reporter and writer. She became interested in baseball's origins while producing another MLB Original Documentary, the Emmy-nominated Vintage Baseball. Specializing in historical content, she felt compelled to tell the story of how baseball really began once she learned that many of baseball's ancestral bat-and-ball games were still being played today.

Marchiano's love of baseball was cultivated by her father Sal Marchiano, a New York area sportscaster.
