
The son of a prison guard and brother of an Army Staff Sgt. grew up in California with a tough personality, and it shows on the hill. Coke pitched in 176 games over the previous two years, leading the 2009 World Series champion Yankees and 2010 Tigers in appearances, before spending a half-season in Detroit's rotation this year.
