The mind-body connection is extremely strong and powerful. A mind telling a weak body to respond may result in injury. A mind that is negative will often lead to poor, non-confident performance. The greatest players, Bernie included, often spend significant time preparing their bodies since it helps to make their minds stronger. Pushing themselves through rigorous workouts and challenges makes the mind stronger. There is a saying we use often: failure to prepare is preparing to fail. Preparing the mind and body in unison will allow for the greatest performances and the breaking of personal bests as well as great a feeling of positivity and overall satisfaction–a feeling of leaving it all out there.
