8/21/01 The Cubs purchased the contract of RHP Juan Cruz from West Tenn (AA) and placed reliever Felix Heredia on the 15-day disabled list with left shoulder soreness.
8/20/01 The Cubs purchased the contract of RHP Carlos Zambrano from Iowa (AAA) and optioned Will Ohman to Iowa.
