Plunked by Zito pitch in first inning, leaves in second
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Brewers outfielder Nyjer Morgan left Saturday's split-squad game with the Giants an inning after being hit in the head by a Barry Zito curveball.Morgan appeared fine after being hit by the pitch in the first inning, remaining on base and taking to the field in the bottom of the first inning. He did not come back to the field in the bottom of the second inning, however, as Jay Gibbons replaced him in right in an eventual 13-3 loss to San Francisco.
