Tigers-White Sox rained out
No make-up date set yet

DETROIT -- The Luis Pujols era will have to wait one more day as a persistent rainstorm forced the postponement of Monday's series opener between the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox.
Pujols was named interim manager of the Tigers earlier in the day when President/CEO Dave Dombrowski announced the firings of manager Phil Garner and general manager Randy Smith.
The date of the make-up game has not been announced, but it will be made up later this season. The Sox return to Detroit for a four-game series July 11-14 immediately following the All-Star break, and also have a three-game set in the Motor City on Aug. 30-Sept. 1.
The pitching probables for the two remaining games will be Dan Wright vs. Steve Sparks on Tuesday, and Jon Garland vs. Jose Lima in the series finale on Wednesday. The first Major League start for right-hander Jon Rauch, who had been scheduled to Tuesday, will have to wait.
