Juan Gonzalez does not approve of pitchers winning the Most Valuable Player award: "A pitcher cannot be worth more than an everyday player, much less one who has won two Most Valuable Player awards in three years."
In case you missed Gonzalez's point, the two-time MVP to whom he is referring is himself. Hey, Sammy Sosa! You were voted the National League MVP for 1998. What do you think of that?
