Major League Baseball announced today that it has rehired three former Major League umpires who had resigned during the 1999 season.

The three umpires – Bruce Dreckman, Sam Holbrook and Paul Nauert – began working Minor League games on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, after they completed a training program this week in New Orleans.
