Umpire Reed leaves game early
tickets for any Major League Baseball game
MILWAUKEE -- Sunday's Twins-Brewers game was delayed in the top of the second inning when home plate umpire Rick Reed left the game due to illness.

A Brewers spokesman said Reed suffered from light-headedness and dizziness attributed to a sinus infection. Second base umpire Jeff Nelson changed into home plate gear and the game continued after a 10-minute delay with a three-man crew.

Reed, a 21-year veteran, has been a Major League crew chief since 1999. He works as an actor in the offseason, and played the home plate umpire in the Kevin Costner film, "For Love of the Game."
