ATLANTA -- Greg Maddux vs. Mark Prior.

As far as marquee matchups go, Game 3 of the National League Division Series at Wrigley Field is as good as it gets: Atlanta's four-time Cy Young Award winner Maddux, the best pitcher of his generation, against Chicago sophomore sensation Prior, the best pitcher from Generation Next.

"With those two going, it should be tough for the hitters on both teams," Chicago manager Dusty Baker said.

Atlanta manager Bobby Cox agreed.

"We have Maddux going against Prior, and it will be another great matchup," Cox said.

The two extremely talented right-handers will face each other in a series that is tied after the two teams split a pair of games in Atlanta. The game is sold out and a packed house will be on hand to see who wins the personal duel between veteran and youngster, as well as which team pulls to within a game of clinching a spot in the National League Championship Series by winning.

"That's an incredible matchup," Atlanta catcher Javy Lopez said. "You couldn't ask for a better playoff game than that. It should be a lot of fun."

First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on Friday.
