    A's 7th: In an 11-pitch at-bat against Martinez, Durazo draws a walk to load the bases with two outs. But on his 33rd pitch of the frame,Martinez retires Eric Chavez on a foul popup.   Video: 56k | 300k

    Red Sox 8th: With runners on second and third and one out, pinch-hitter Adrian Brown strikes out. Then after an intentional walk to Jason Varitek, Johnny Damon grounds out to end the inning.

    A's 9th: With runners at first and second and two out, Grady Little removes closer Byung-Hyun Kim in favor of lefty Alan Embree to face Durazo. Durazo delivers a game-tying single.   Video: 56k | 300k

    A's 10th: With one out and Scott Hatteberg breaking from first base, Terrence Long strikes out looking and is called for obstructing Varitek's attempt to throw to second. Hatteberg is ruled out and the inning ends.

    Red Sox 11th: A's closer Keith Foulke, pitching in his third inning of relief, strikes out Damian Jackson with runners on first and second to end a Red Sox threat. Foulke threw a total of 51 pitches in his three innings.

    A's 11th: Red Sox turn to starter Derek Lowe, who had not pitched in relief since since September of 2001. Chris Singleton walks and eventually reaches second base before Lowe fans Mark Ellis to end the threat.

    Red Sox 12th: Manny Ramirez draws a leadoff walk and advances to second on a wild pitch by Oakland rookie Rich Harden. With two outs, Ramirez on second and Bill Mueller on first, 3B Eric Chavez makes a great back-handed stop of a would-be double by Gabe Kapler.
