CHICAGO -- World champions in 1997, the surprising Marlins are back in the World Series for the second time in their 11-year history.

The "Fighting Fish," as rookie Dontrelle Willis calls them, knocked off the Cubs, 9-6, in the decisive seventh game at Wrigley Field.

World Series baseball returns to South Florida for Games 3, 4 and 5 (if necessary) on Oct. 21-23 at Pro Player Stadium.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased on www.floridamarlins.com, TicketMaster by phone, the Marlins en Miami store and at Pro Player Stadium Gate G box office.

The Marlins have made an amazing run back to the World Series. They had an uphill battle, becoming the fourth team in LCS history to come back from a 3-1 deficit and win the pennant.

The Marlins won 91 games in the regular season, one win shy of the total the 1997 championship team posted.

Then after winning the NL Wild Card, they upset the Giants, 3-1, in the Division Series.
