In Game 4 TINO MARTINEZ'S 2-run homer tied the game at 3-3 en route to a 4-3, 10-inning win. In Game 4, SCOTT BROSIUS tied the game at 2-2 with the Yankees winning in 12 innings, 3-2.

EXTRA INNINGS: This is the 54th extra inning game in World Series history, the 1st since Game 5 in 2001, Arizona at New York, which went 12 innings...Tonight's game matched the 2nd longest by innings in World Series history, the 13th game to go 12 innings.

DEREK JETER doubled in the 10th inning and has hit safely in all 4 games of this Series.

THE YANKEES had won their last 7 World Series extra inning games before tonight's loss...New York's last defeat was on Oct. 12, 1964, Game 5, a 5-2 loss to St. Louis in 10 innings.

THE MARLINS are 2-0 lifetime in World Series extra inning games after the win tonight
