Randy Johnson tosses a perfect game as the Diamondbacks beat the Braves, 2-0, at Turner Field. It is the first perfect game in the NL since July 28, 1991 when Dennis Martinez turned the trick against the Dodgers.
June 20, 1990
Johnson throws a no-hitter as the Mariners beat the Tigers, 2-0, at Seattle Kingdome. He walked six and struck out eight.
May 8, 2001
Johnson strikes out 20 Reds, joining Roger Clemens and Kerry Wood as the only pitchers to strikeout 20 in a nine-inning span. Johnson left the game after nine with the game tied at 1-1.
Oct. 2, 1995
Johnson toss a three-hitter to beat the Angels in a one-game playoff. The win clinches the AL West for the Mariners -- their first division title.
Game 7, 2001 World Series
After being the Yankees, 15-2, in Game 6, Johnson comes out of the bullpen to record the last four outs prior to the D-Backs dramatic ninth-inning rally. He became the first pitcher in 55 years to win as a starter in Game 6 and as a reliever in Game 7.
