TOKYO -- Major League Baseball's All-Star team arrived in the Land of the Rising Sun after a 12-hour flight from Los Angeles, trying to cope with severe jet lag and a grueling schedule. The trip began on Tuesday morning and after crossing the International Dateline, Tuesday miraculously turned into Wednesday afternoon.

"I'm dragging," manager Bruce Bochy said on Wednesday night. "They told me not to go to sleep too early. I hung in there, grabbed dinner and now I'm fading."

The MLB All-Stars open an eight-game, five-city tour against their counterparts from Nippon Professional Baseball on Friday night in the Tokyo Dome. Both teams work out at the Dome on Thursday afternoon.
