Infielder's big performance has Tigres closer to winter ball title

The 23-year-old's best performance came on Jan. 21, when he went 4-for-4 with a double and two runs scored for the Tigres, who have a 2-0 lead over Navegantes del Magallanes in the best-of-seven championship series.
Cedeno is one of several players in the Cubs organization honing their skills in various Winter Leagues this offseason. Here's how the rest fared this week:
Venezuelan Winter League
C Henry Blanco -- The 35-year-old backstop went 16-for-44 (.333) with a homer, five RBIs and four runs scored in 14 playoff games for Leones de Caracas before joining Magallanes. In two games with his new team, Blanco has one hit in five at-bats.
RHP Angel Guzman -- Guzman is 0-1 with a 1.17 ERA in two postseason starts for the Navegantes. He pitched three scoreless frames in his first outing and followed that by allowing one run on four hits over 4 2/3 innings.
Dominican Winter League
RHP Carlos Marmol -- Marmol (0-1) has been charged with six runs on six hits over 2 2/3 innings in two playoff appearances for Tigres del Licey, who trail Aguilas Cibaenas, 2-1, in the best-of-seven championship series.
RHP Roberto Novoa -- Novoa yielded two runs on four hits over 1 1/3 innings in two postseason appearances for the Tigres.
Mexican Pacific League
3B Casey McGehee -- The 24-year-old third baseman batted .255 (12-for-47) with four RBIs and six runs scored in 14 postseason games with Tomateros de Culiacan.
LHP Les Walrond -- In eight regular-season starts for Naranjeros de Hermosillo, Walrond went 5-2 with a 3.38 ERA. The 30-year-old southpaw has not pitched in the playoffs.
