There are some days when you wish you had one of those Guidecraft Children's Storage Step-ups so you could stand up high and direct every baseball fan to the place they really want to go.
Well, this is another one of those days.
According to market research, this is about the time the MLB.com Shop and other online holiday shopping venues will see its peak activity for the holidays. Two years ago, when "Cyber Monday" was coined as the Monday following Thanksgiving to greet all of those shoppers coming back to their computers, it really was Dec. 12 that went down as the No. 1 online shopping day of that calendar year. And the opportunity for complete satisfaction is here with "Hits for the Holidays."
The amazing 16-day holiday shopping sale is in its third week, and now it's getting really serious at the MLB.com Shop. You probably are caught up in it yourself, and one day you will have withdrawals when the best series since the World Series is over. Here is a look at the weekend ahead in shopping paradise:
Friday through Monday: Buy any item, get 25 percent off a second item of equal or lesser value.
Just think, this is the 12th sale in the "Hits for the Holidays" series, and most places around the Internet are stopping there because of the whole "12 Days of Christmas" thing. We're still just getting warmed up in finding ways for you to save a lot of money while discovering the perfect holiday gifts.
Sale No. 12 pretty much covers the gamut at the MLB.com Shop. Let's say you order a Sports Furniture Twin Bed for a young fan's room. You also could get the matching Sports Furniture Side Table in the same color with the same prominent club branding. The side table normally goes for $249.99, but because of this day's sale, you would save $62, so that piece would be yours for only $187.49.
Maybe you're a Cleveland fan who has the true privilege of staring all summer at that gorgeous script "Indians" logo on the left-field scoreboard high atop Jacobs Field at night. You can get the same script logo on an Authentic Grady Sizemore No. 24 Alternate Road Jersey, and then you can save 25 percent off the price of that Indians Authentic Neon Sign -- also dropping its price from $249.99 to $187.49.
With a neon sign like that, you can stop people right in their tracks and command attention -- which is exactly what "Hits for the Holidays" apparently is doing over a loud and stupendous 16 virtual sales in a row.
