Glaus scratched from Monday's game
Dealing with stiff back, slugger doesn't make trip to face Twins

JUPITER, Fla. -- Troy Glaus was scratched from the Cardinals' game against the Twins in Fort Myers, Fla., on Monday when he reported to camp with a stiff back. Glaus, who participated in the team's workout before it departed on a bus, said the condition is nothing serious.
"It's just a little stiff, so I stayed back," Glaus said on Monday morning.
Glaus has enjoyed a fine spring at the plate, batting .375 with a .492 on-base percentage and a .542 slugging percentage. He's been particularly hot lately, but the club elected not to push him when he's not feeling great -- especially considering the length of the trip across the state.
"Seven-hour bus ride," Glaus noted. "It wasn't my decision. They told me to stay back. No funny business."
