Dukes leaves with tight hamstring
Nationals' left fielder day to day after fifth-inning injury
WASHINGTON -- Nationals left fielder Elijah Dukes left Sunday's regular-season opener against the Braves with right hamstring tightness. He is listed as day to day.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Dukes hit a slow roller to Braves third baseman Chipper Jones, who easily threw out Dukes. Manager Manny Acta took Dukes out of the game after the inning and replaced him with Willie Harris.
Dukes has had hamstring problems for several weeks and missed a handful of Spring Training games.
