DeJesus day-to-day with ankle sprain
Center fielder not expected to land on disabled list
DETROIT -- Center fielder David DeJesus was out of the Royals' starting lineup for the second straight game on Thursday. He has a sprained left ankle.
"He's still day-to-day," manager Trey Hillman said before Thursday's game against the Detroit Tigers. "A lot of treatment again today. Still sore but it's still not a DL situation."
DeJesus twisted his ankle March 24 in a Cactus League game. He reaggravated the injury on Monday in the second inning.
