Molina continues to rest sore legs
Giants catcher hopes to return Monday against Rockies
SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants catcher Benjie Molina was scratched from Sunday's starting lineup because of lingering soreness in his legs.
According to manager Bruce Bochy, Molina's soreness may be related to the strained left quadriceps injury that limited the catcher's activity in Spring Training. Bochy said he spoke with Molina and the training staff and they decided he could use another day off to rest his sore legs. "You know, it looked like it cleared up from this spring, but he felt it again on that double two days ago," Bochy said. "I think with what happened in Spring Training, it's something that we don't want him to suffer a setback, so we're going to err on the side of caution."| The Giants struck out 11 batters on Thursday, earning fans an $11 discount on tickets for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.
