BALTIMORE -- A day after being placed on the 15-day disabled list, Nick Johnson faced the local media at Camden Yards on Friday for the first time. In typical Johnson fashion, he was upbeat and said it was time to move forward.

Johnson has a torn tendon sheath in his right wrist and is expected to miss four to six weeks of action. Johnson hurt his wrist during his last at-bat on Tuesday against the Mets at Shea Stadium. He was sent to Washington to get an MRI on Thursday, and that was when doctors saw the tear inside the wrist. He is expected to be in a cast for two weeks and will be reevaluated after that.

"I have to get the wrist healthy and get back on the field. That's all I can do," Johnson said. "Everything was going good, but you have to move forward. You can't do anything about it."

It marks the second time Johnson has suffered a serious injury at Shea Stadium. On Sept. 23, 2006, he broke his right leg in a collision with right fielder Austin Kearns. Johnson missed the entire 2007 season because of the injury.

Asked if he felt Shea Stadium was bad luck for him, Johnson laughed and said, "It doesn't look too good. I don't know -- not really."
