BALTIMORE -- When it comes to Minor Leaguers, Dmitri Young will do almost anything for them.

During his rehab assignment at Double-A Harrisburg, Young spent $3,000 on food for the players. He also was a mentor, often talking to the players and cheering for the team in the dugout.

"It's fun for me," Young said. "I was always told when I was coming up that we had to take care of the young guys."

This is not the first time Young was a mentor to young players. While getting into shape in the team's Accelerated Camp in 2007, Young was a mentor for outfielders Mike Daniel and Justin Maxwell and first baseman Chris Marrero.
