Rowand leaves with tight quadriceps
Outfielder is replaced by Horwitz in seventh inning
WASHINGTON -- Giants center fielder Aaron Rowand is listed as day-to-day after coming out of Friday's 10-1 win over Washington with a tight right quadriceps in the seventh inning.
Rowand ended the sixth inning by making a long running catch of a Lastings Milledge fly ball, and that's when he felt it. He said later that it was similar to what cost him a few days in Spring Training. Manager Bruce Bochy said that they'll check on him before Saturday's game.
"We didn't take any chances," Bochy said.
