"Three outs and call it good," said Percival about Tuesday's session. "You never know what's going to happen, but my body feels good."
Percival said his arm is "as sound as it's been in 10 years.
"I just have to get my legs underneath me," Percival said. "[The problem area] is just the same spot over and over again. It's not like everything's broken down. At least this time we've really focused on strengthening that spot."
Percival is 14-of-16 in save opportunities this season and he doesn't appear to be too worried about picking up where he left off.
"I don't get rusty after this much time off," Percival said. "I go eight days without a save opportunity, or I'll pitch one time in 15 days, so it's not that big of a deal to me."
Percival has been a nice addition to the team this season, on the field and off, where he has a definite presence in the clubhouse. And clearly, he's ready to be back on the field.
"I wish I was back already," Percival said. "Especially coming here and getting to pitch here [in Anaheim, where he spent most of his career]. I'll definitely be ready when we get home."
