Fans can tune in to hear Hamilton
Broadcaster will call Saturday's game vs. Rays on 740 KTRH
TAMPA BAY -- Saturday's game between the Rays and Astros won't be televised in Houston, but fans can still tune in and listen to a very familiar voice call that game.
Milo Hamilton hasn't traveled regularly with the team since 2005, but he met the Astros in Tampa Bay so that he could call the series at Tropicana Field, where the Astros are playing for the first time in franchise history.
Tropicana Field is the 56th ballpark in which Hamilton has broadcast a Major League game. His last road series was June 18-20, 2007, when he traveled to Anaheim for his first broadcast at Angel Stadium.
Saturday's game is the only one of the Astros' 162-game schedule that is not being televised. The game's start time of 5:05 p.m. CT falls into the FOX national window, meaning both clubs are unable to televise the game locally. But Hamilton will be announcing the game on 740 KTRH locally.
