Weeks has spent the last 15 days rehabbing his knee through a combination of strength-building exercises and, more recently, baseball-related activities. He was back to his normal pregame routine this weekend and had been taking time in the batting cage to prepare for his return.
"I feel real good," Weeks said after his workout on Saturday. "I'm not feeling anything [in the knee], really. It's a little weak right now, but other than that, I have no problems with it at all. When I say 'weak,' I just mean it's tired after the work, but other than that, it's good." Weeks showed no ill effects fielding his position in the top of the first inning on Sunday and hit a long fly ball for an out in his first at-bat.Dave Fultz is an associate reporter for MLB.com.
