MILWAUKEE -- Corey Hart must have 20/20 vision through his sunglasses at night.

The Brewers right fielder needs just one home run to become the first player in franchise history to have two seasons with at least 20 home runs and 20 steals, one year after he hit 24 bombs and swiped 23 bags.

Hart entered Wednesday's series finale against Houston with 19 home runs and 22 stolen bases. He became only the fifth member of the 20/20 club in Brewers history last year, joining Tommy Harper, Robin Yount, Jeromy Burnitz and Marquis Grissom.

Hart has yet to homer against Houston's starter Wandy Rodriguez, but the matchup is a good one for the 26-year-old. Hart has nine hits in 20 at-bats (.450) against the southpaw, along with three walks.

As he elevated through the Brewers Minor League system, Hart once compared himself to slugging first baseman Richie Sexson, a mainstay for the parent club at the time. That comparison came before the full realization of Hart's speed potential, which comes in high supply despite his lanky frame.

"I'm definitely not Richie Sexson anymore," Hart said. "I obviously don't have 40-homer pop, but I'm going to hit 20 or 25. I've been trying to work on running the bases and add that [to my repertoire]."

Any perceptible slump that entrenched Hart following his first appearance in the MLB All-Star Game dissolved over the past 23 games heading into Tuesday, when Hart had batted .330 with three home runs and 16 RBIs. He ranks among the league's top five in doubles, multihit games and triples.

Pitching matchup
MIL: LHP Manny Parra (9-6, 4.12 ERA)
Parra's frustration is mounting, even though he has pitched well in his first full season in the Majors. But since rattling off eight straight wins, Parra has gone 1-4 in his past nine starts, including a loss at Dodger Stadium on Friday in which he matched his career and season high by allowing 10 hits. Parra was working with what he called his best pure "stuff" of the season, but he couldn't locate.

HOU: LHP Wandy Rodriguez (7-5, 4.15 ERA)
Rodriguez struggled with location in his most recent outing, and the D-backs took advantage, scoring four runs off the left-hander over 2 1/3 innings. Rodriguez tied a career-high with six walks and struck out four. The lefty last faced Milwaukee on June 25 at Miller Park, netting the win after yielding one run over six innings.

Tidbits
Several cast members from "Happy Days" and "Laverne and Shirley" appeared in a pregame presentation at Miller Park before Tuesday's game, coinciding with the unveiling of a "Bronze Fonz" in the city's downtown. Both 1970s sitcoms were set in Milwaukee, and the Fonz was a popular character portrayed by Henry Winkler, who spoke at the pregame ceremony. A fleet of classic cars narrowly made it off the warning track before first pitch. ... Technicians from Uihlein Electric began pulling fiber-optic and audio cables through the stadium during the week in preparation for Major League Baseball's creation of a closed-circuit instant replay system. MLB officials will stop by to inspect the progress later in the week. ... Brewers first-round Draft selection Brett Lawrie has yet to record a hit in seven at-bats with the Canadian Olympic baseball team participating in Beijing. Lawrie does have two RBIs, but he has not played at catcher -- the position where Milwaukee intends to use him.
