The Angels, under manager Mike Scioscia, have always followed a one game at a time creed. This season, it's clearly paid off.

The Angels have an insurmountable lead in the American League West and have been battling for the best record in baseball all season. Despite their success, the Angels haven't quite had the national media attention that other teams such as the Yankees, Red Sox or Cubs might garner.

But that will change when the Angels are featured on This Week in Baseball presented by Aquafina, airing on FOX.

TWIB sits down with Scioscia, Torii Hunter, Gary Matthews Jr. and new addition Mark Teixeira to discuss the Angels' secret to success.

The hot-hitting Teixeira will also talk about his transition to the Angels after being traded by the Braves on July 29. The hard-working first baseman likely won't say it was an easy transition, but it sure looks like it has been for Teixeira, who has added badly needed punch to the Angels' lineup.

Matthews was also wired for a game to give fans an inside look at how the outfielder goes about his business during an Angels game.

But it won't just be the Angels' play on the field that will be featured. Vladimir Guerrero invited TWIB into his home to share some of his mother's authentic cooking from the Dominican Republic.

Even a former Angel will be featured on the show, as TWIB will look back at Hall of Famer Rod Carew, who collected 3,053 hits over 19 Major League seasons.

Carew played his final seven seasons with the Angels, before retiring in 1985 with a career batting average of .328. The look back at Carew is part of the "Baseball Is ..." sponsored by Chevrolet portion of TWIB.

The candidates for the Pepsi Clutch Performer of the Month of August will also be unveiled, with fans getting the chance to vote for the winner online.

The show will also feature Rangers rookie Chris Davis in the Gillete "Cover All Your Bases" segment. The 22-year-old corner infielder has shown an electrifying bat and is seventh in the Majors in home runs hit by rookies.

Finally, Taco Bell presents "How 'Bout That," with all the best plays and bloopers of the week set to "Real" by the Goo Goo Dolls.

In addition to airing on FOX, TWIB also airs on the video board in stadiums, as well as internationally in Australia, Canada, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Japan, Latin America, Middle East, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Panama and Taiwán. Also, TWIB's webpage features original blogs and bonus footage not seen in the broadcast.
