Wallace was 4-for-5 at the plate, including a three-run shot in the fourth inning off Red Sox prospect Clay Buchholz, who threw a no-hitter vs. the Orioles in 2007.
"I thought I hit it pretty good," Wallace said of his third homer of the season. "I knew right away it was either off the top of the fence or it was out."
In the sixth inning, Wallace collected two more RBIs with a double off Buchholz.
"It feels pretty unbelievable," the Arizona State product said. "He's obviously got great stuff, and he's a guy who's proven himself in the big leagues."
"It makes you realize we're all getting pretty close to where we want to be -- there's no margin for error in this league."
After a slow start in Arizona, Wallace has 10 hits in his last six games.
"The numbers aren't where I want them to be so far, but I feel like I'm getting what I came here for," he said. "I came here wanting to learn from the guys who have been in the Majors before, and I feel like I've been able to do that."
Wallace has also been garnering a lot of local support from the Sun Devils faithful.
"There have been lots of people -- teammates, coaches -- coming out to see me," he said.
Shane Robinson (Cardinals) and Cole Armstrong (White Sox) both scored twice and had an RBI, and Dan Murphy (Mets) also crossed the plate twice for Peoria (16-7).
Nationals prospect Cory VanAllen (1-1) gave up a run on four hits without any walks in three innings for the win. He struck out two.
Jamie Romak (Pirates) homered, and he and Mark Trumbo (Angels) amassed three hits for Scottsdale (7-16).
Buchholz (1-2) allowed four runs on five hits and four walks, striking five over 3 2/3 innings.
