CINCINNATI -- Tickets for Kahn's Redsfest XI, the most popular of Reds winter events, will go on sale Monday.
Redsfest will run Dec. 12-13 at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati. Tickets can be bought online at
reds.com.
Proceeds from Redsfest benefit the Reds Community Fund.
Day 1 of Redsfest on Friday, Dec. 12, runs from 4-10:30 p.m. ET. The event goes from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13. One-day tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for fans 12 and under, while two-day tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids.
Redsfest 2007 attracted more than 20,000 fans over two days.
Several current and former Reds committed to attending include Brandon Phillips, first Joey Votto, Jay Bruce and Reds Hall of Fame outfielder Eric Davis. The first 10,000 fans attending Redsfest each day will receive a free drawstring backpack and a Reds winter ski cap, courtesy of Kahn's.
The Redsfest main stage will be home to numerous fan-friendly events, including a kids-only press conference with players, the Reds Idol karaoke contest, a Hooters wing eating contest and the ever popular Reds Hot Stove Report with Marty Brennaman, which will feature manager Dusty Baker and general manager Walt Jocketty. Reds pitcher Bronson Arroyo will also perform in concert.
The Celebrity Wiffle Ball home run contest will be held on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. The Reds Community Fund Wiffle Ball tournament is slated for Saturday afternoon. The celebrity poker tournament, which also benefits the RCF, will return again and is scheduled for Saturday.
As usual, fans can get autographs with selected players and for the first time, Autograph Fast Passes, which allow the holder to move to the front of any two autograph lines during each day of the event, will be available. Fifty passes will be sold, with the starting bid at $50 per pass. The auction will start at reds.com/redsfest on Monday, Nov. 10, at 9:00 a.m.
Fans can also register to win four VIP Redsfest Experience packages. There will be several exhibits from the Reds Hall of Fame, a memorabilia gallery, batting cages, the speed pitch and the steal home challenge.
