MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee native Trenni Kusnierek, a popular member of the Brewers' television broadcast team in 2008, was formally added to the new MLB Network's list of on-air talent in an announcement Wednesday morning.

Kusnierek joined FSN Wisconsin's broadcasts as a reporter in 2008 after four years with FSN Pittsburgh as a sports anchor and reporter. Before that, she spent parts of three years in sports departments of two Wisconsin television stations.

The MLB Network also named baseball veterans Al Leiter and Harold Reynolds as studio analysts and Hazel Mae as a reporter on Wednesday. They join former Brewers play-by-play man Matt Vasgersian, who last week was named studio host and anchor of MLB Tonight, the live, nightly studio show that will be the signature program of the new network, and Hot Stove, a live, nightly off-season studio show.

MLB Network will debut in about 50 million homes on Jan. 1, 2009 as the largest network debut in cable history.

Adam McCalvy is a reporter for MLB.com. This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.
