The Phillies have expressed interest in infielder Nomar Garciaparra and outfielder Gabe Kapler, according to FOXSports.com and Philly.com.

The Phillies are looking for a right-handed hitter to come off the bench, according to FOXSports.com.

In 55 games this past season, Garciaparra hit .264 with eight home runs and 28 RBIs for the Dodgers. He can play shortstop, third and first base.

Kapler was arguably the Brewers' best reserve last year, hitting .301 with eight home runs and 38 RBIs. He can play all three outfield positions.
