PHOENIX -- The Dodgers are doing their part in today's tough economic climate by holding a job fair at Dodger Stadium this weekend.

The club and its partners that operate at the ballpark are looking for more than 500 seasonal workers, and prospective applicants are welcome to the event, which will be held this Saturday and Sunday. During the season, more than 3,000 people work game days at Dodger Stadium.

The Sunset Boulevard Gates open at 9:30 a.m. PT, and applicants will receive descriptions of the positions available. Applicants will proceed to the Stadium Club and third-base-line suites starting at 10 a.m. and continuing through 4 p.m. each day.  Among the positions available are ushers, security, maintenance and food service positions with Levy Restaurants.

For those unable to attend this event, the 14th annual Community Job Fair will be held at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  That event gives opportunities for interaction with various organizations within the public and private sector.

Last year, approximately 4,000 participants from throughout Southern California met representatives from Bally Total Fitness, Federal Express, Macy's, Coca-Cola, Sears, Primerica, University of Southern California and the United States Secret Service.
