Blalock back in lineup as Andruw sits
Slugger sat out Monday's loss to O's due to a sore neck
ARLINGTON -- Hank Blalock was back in the lineup on Tuesday after missing Monday's game because of a stiff neck.Andruw Jones was out of the lineup after going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs during a 10-9 loss on Monday to the Orioles. Manager Ron Washington said he wants Jones in the lineup on Wednesday against Orioles left-hander Mark Hendrickson. "I'm planning on putting him in there, I'm just not sure how I'll do it," Washington said. Both of Jones' starts this season have been at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. He was 3-for-5 in his first start and is now 15-for-33 with four home runs and 12 RBIs in eight career games at the Ballpark. Six of those games were while he was with the Braves. Now he's the Rangers' fifth outfielder waiting for chances to come off the bench. "The situation is a lot different than it has been the past few years," Washington said. "I have a pretty good bench, now I'm doing the best I can to get them all involved." Omar Vizquel made his second start of the season on Tuesday night at shortstop. Blalock, who went into Tuesday's game hitting .222 (4-for-18) with two home runs and five RBIs, was originally in Monday's lineup but was scratched after batting practice because of the neck. "It really feels a lot better," Blalock said. "Batting practice yesterday -- it was sad. If you watched my BP, I couldn't turn my head, I couldn't move at all. I came in the clubhouse and it locked up."
