Biggio to represent Astros at Draft
Legend will announce Houston's first pick on MLB Network
HOUSTON -- Craig Biggio will forever be revered as one of the greatest players -- if not the greatest player -- in franchise history, so it goes without saying that the former second baseman -- with no disrespect to Lance Berkman -- is also the best first-round Draft selection the Astros have made.
For that reason, it's only fitting that Biggio will represent the Astros during this year's First-Year Player Draft. Former stars and Hall of Famers from all 30 teams will gather at the MLB Network Studios to open the three-day Draft with the announcement of the first-round selections.
